The Bachman Family

I met up with six month old Brandt and his family on one of our recent cool mornings. As with all clients, it was fun to get to know them a bit. I’m glad we were able to schedule their session before their big move. Enjoy your preview.

William, six months

A few notes before I share some of Will’s six-month milestone photos.

1) Since Will’s parents aren’t paying clients, he had to settle for a quick 10 minute shoot in the backyard
2) He refuses to smile at either one of us when the camera is present. I thought having BOTH of us there (one to photograph and one to be silly) would help.
3) One of these days we will fit Will into our shooting schedule and take him out for a proper session. Until then, backyard mini sessions will have to do.

NBC Universal

A few months ago we were contacted to do a shoot here in Wichita for a national NBC Universal campaign. We just received the final print ad. I love seeing how the photo came together with the entire campaign. These ads will run in Multichannel News.

Favorite Thing Friday – watermelon

MMMMMMMMMM. Derrick has been stopping at this little watermelon farm since he was a little boy. We have carried on the tradition and visit it weekly.

We should really keep track of the pounds of watermlon we purchase during the season. You see some of those large watermelons in the photos? We buy two each week. Watermleon for a snack. Watermelon for lunch and watermelon for dinner. It is seriously the best watermelon I’ve ever had. The one downside is that it has seeds.

If you live in the area and are interested in our little secret (I tell at least a dozen people about this place each summer and no one has ever heard of it), drive north on Ridge Road. Look for the watermlon sign just before the K96 ramp. You won’t be disappointed. (well, you might. But don’t hold us responsible.)

Life Moves Fast

Kids in Kansas are back in school. My nephews’s first day was yesterday and I stayed close to email, anticipating his back to school photo. Feeling all sentimental, I decided to dig out my own photo from the first day of first grade.
